Revell 1:48 B-24D Liberator. COMPLETED

I will be the one doing it. I am putting down a bamboo floor with cedar in the closet.
Then painting and setting the room back up. I will give myself more space to build.

Lol. We really do need a new floor. The house was built in 1999 and still has original carpet downstairs.
I have already completed the upstairs redo.
Yeah, carpet does have a lifespan. Once it reaches the end of life there is no reviving it and out it must go.
I won't have carpet anymore, especially with these 3 giant fur-babies.

This build is no longer on hold. I talked the wife into delaying the office redo.
I have been working on this off and on.
Looks good. If you ever get the chance I recommend the book Jimmy Stewart Bomber Pilot. He flew the Liberator in the war. It was a great read and he was quite a person. He also built model aircraft as a hobby.

I took the tail gunner section out. I didn’t like the paint on it and tried to strip it off. The plastic got very fogged up and doesn’t look good.
I sent a request to Revell to see if I could get another one.

Revell got back to me this morning and they will send me the rear gun turret free of charge. However it will take 6 weeks to get so I will continue on with the build and complete it without the turret. Then install it when received.

Did you try a plastic polishing paste? I'm in the optical trade we use this quite a bit. It even takes out scratches from canopies that suffer through aggressive sanding.
Check out Optical supply companies, you might be able to source it or something similar elsewhere.

Thanks for the heads up. I found it on Amazon.

We put it on cloth wheels, rub it on straps of suede. For small clear parts I shave just a tiny bit and press my finger into it and work the part with my finger tip.

I used Testors Enamel Thinner on the clear plastic and it really dogged it up. Do you think that compound will clear it up?
I would put a dollar on that bet, it's a heck of a compound. We use it to bring eyeglass frames back to like new condition.
In use with canopies, clear parts that I thought would be toast, it's saved them.

Sounds good. I placed an order for some. Thanks

The 47.322 Peel-Away I received is marked as Blue Rouge, not Plastic Compound. It is also hard as a rock.
Is this the same as you use?

Step by step, last photo not perfect, but I hope you have the idea :)
