I said it before, and I'll say it again: I don't know why Monogram designed the canopy the way they did on this kit. Every other USN aircraft they did at this time had the framing molded on the windscreen/canopy, not molded to the fuselage. It would have been so much easier for us to build the kit. There's no structural reason for it; it's just an odd design choice.

Lots of filling and sanding on this. I am fixing the wings in place rather than them being foldable so that's why I'm filling those gaps.

I'm not that great at it either bit I figured this is a good practice platform as I got the kit pretty cheap.

I got a new Gaahleri airbrush and tested it out on this monstrosity. I had the flow too high and had a bunch of heavy blotches from paint collecting on the tip. Turned the flow down a touch and did the belly and that came out pretty nice. Using Vallejo Model Air paint.
