The great pink Spitfire challenge

Trying my stencil for subtle shading. If it works great, if not, I'll just paint more pink layers over it.
I like trying new things in this hobby and finding out what works and other times thinking; "Well, that didn't work." :p

I'm thinking one more coat then matt varnish to seal it. That's 4 coats of pink. Enough for anyone. Pantherman
Final top coat of pink done and some liquid encouragement added. Pantherman Pinky

Looks really nice, oh, and so does the plane.
I know we do not have that ale in our stores here. Looks like a nice crisp drink. With a 4 2 abv.? Very nice.
I've been getting a few stouts aged in burbon barrels lately. I don't work on anything when I drink those.

It is really cool you found a bottle like that for the build, so very fitting :p

Right now I'm waiting for some new needles for the airbrush so I can continue. They should be here in a little while.
So while I wait I'm going to get the grill prepped and start wrapping the shrimp in bacon. I'll also have grilled pineapple and corn on the cob.

I'll be back tonight... tomorrow for sure.

I've added pink! I need one more coat and touch ups and the the underside.

I did have a mishap(s). My favorite airbrush stopped working. I even went as far as replacing  all of the parts and it still would not work. I pulled an old airbrush out but it had gotten gunked up really bad. It will definitely need to soak. So, I had one more in the stash, another old one which I don't like much at all, but it got the job done. Looks like it might be time to use Sad Puppydog Eyes on the wife to get a good brush. This weekend.

But anyway, here are a couple of the Pink progress.

It's looking great. You will have to go full hound puppy dog snoopy eyes for a decent airbrush, Steenbeck Infinity? Pantherman Pinky

The Spitfire ale was very nice, I may have to purchase a few more. I promise I won't drink and fly !!!!!
I'm liking the sound of the aged stout, I'm a Guinness man usually. Pantherman Pinky

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to add this.
But this one is one of my favorites. Without going into too much detail it has a great flavor and is 9.5% abv
Another one I like the best has great rich flavor and is about 12+% abv.
I've had them as high as 17% abv but that is about $20.00 a bottle.
I think I have them pinned on my Instagram as well if you wanted to see. I'm not totally sure but im about to add them anyway

I don't think I'll be able to convince her on that one. It's pretty expensive.
I'll have to Dave for that one. Looks really nice though. I might have to settle for a decent Iwata or even a Master...

Now that looks like a great stout, I will definitely have to see if I can get it here in England. Pantherman

It is good. It is strong with notes of whiskey and hints of oak to compliment delicious flavors of pecan, vanilla, coffee, and chocolate. With most stouts I taste a lot of coffee and chocolate.
The brewer is 512.
As you would say, cheers (literally) lol

The underside has a nice base coat. I also had to repaint the aluminium lading gear part.

I ordered a new airbrush, which should be here today. Then I can continue with, hopefully, mechanical uninterruptions for this pink beauty.

Looking good my friend. It's very different from the tamiya kit, I will have to get the Eduard kit added to my stash list I think.

Let's see the great unboxing of the new AB when it arrives, I want to join in the fun of seeing new kit If you don't mind sharing. Pantherman Pinky

Sure. I went with the Master ab

This eduard kit had a few fitting issues for me. However I know you would do a great job with this kit.
Overall the kit is a nice one and has a lot of nice PE parts.
I decided to tilt the elevators in a downward position and have the ailerons in the up/down attitude. Starboard is up and port is down.

I've painted the wingtip lights. Eduard has two options. One clear and the other is kit grey. I chose clear. I still have to mask, paint and attach.
The canopy and front windscreen. The main canopy only supplied a mask for the edge and suggest a liquid mask for the rest. The front had all areas with tape. I wad lucky enough to have a bottle of liquid mask I bought last year.

Airbrush has arrived. Seems pretty nice. It has a valve that I do t know what it's for or when or how to use it.
It's the second photo.

I found out that the part is a quick connect. Very cool

And, off with the masks! The new airbrush works like a charm! I'm very pleased with it.

Almost on the home straight, I have some catching up to do. Pantherman Pinky

I'm trying chipping with the chipping solution I applied (first time trying a solution).
Is this looking OK any advice is welcomed.
