I scratch built it from parts off a 1/76 tank kit and a styrene rod.

I have two pinks. Why? Because the AK brand took too long for delivery, (almost 2 weeks) and both came from Amazon.

So, I ordered the vallejo. Both are virtually the same shade. The AK is slightly darker, but it is hard to tell side-by-side. I'll be using Vallejo Air it's thin enough for the airbrush. The AK is thicker and I'm not good at thinning paints.

Next installment. Got most of the cockpit sorted, just need to assemble it. Bit of touching up on the painting required. Hope to get a fair bit done after work next week in a bid to catch up with number one Spitfire assembler Gary. Pantherman

I'm still toying with the idea of fitting a camera. The Tamiya set doesn't really allow for one but I would like to get somewhere near the actual recon Spitfire if I can. Any cool suggestions from my fellow forum helpers? Pantherman

There is that little door on the port side. I cut out my door. You could drill a camera hole in that door, you also could do belly cams.

I got a little more done. Did a little paint test. I'll paint black primer lines later.

Did some pre shading. Either this eduard has a few gaps or it's me. Whatever the case I'm having to do some filling and patchwork. Maybe I'll name her Patches.

No 3D decals for this kit.
The instrument panel was PE.

Can you mask it as close as you can then detail brush around it.
I bought these brushes and they are perfect for small detail work.

Can you mask it as close as you can then detail brush around it.
I bought these brushes and they are perfect for small detail work.

Finally got the cockpit done and added my pilot. Just got to matt varnish it tomorrow and weather it on Wednesday hopefully.
Then I can start assembling the fuselage. Pantherman
