I realized I was getting ahead of myself by starting the engine..so went back to finish a few sub-assemblies.Here I've painted the cockpit sills and installed the cockpit.I also completed the intake section and installed the engine face:

Some shots of the completed intake assembly and engine fan.Make sure you paint the top of the intake and the bottom part of the nose BEFORE installing these together!! I almost fogot!!

Scott,Quara and Ace...thanks so much for taking the time to check out my build.Here is a little more progress:

Reinforcement plates added from Tamiya upgrade set:


Rather than try to bend the RAM panels for the nose...I made copies out of sheet plastic and used that instead.MUCH easier to work with!! Not quite the best job here...but learned alot.



All painted up:

Man, great work so far, I love the paint job, I can never get my base coats looking that nice, they always seem to dark to me. great work on thbe exhaust too, Is that Shull24 or Aires?

Thanks for the kind words Charlie... and yes..this is Shawn Hull's kit... I'm adding several things of his to this build.I'll keep you posted.

I was off all week last week...so I was able to make mucho progress on my build.I' won't post it all here at one time..but I'm WAY ahead of the game now...

Some details added to the drop tanks:








I also added the electrical conduit(?) to the Triple Ejector Rack... I think it looks a little better than the kit part.
