All,

I am planning to build the battleship Bismarck from Revell on scale 1/350 (#05040) with the Pontos upgrade kit (#35022f1).
Both on order and will get them in a few weeks (need anyhow a few months to finish the Missouri !), however, looking at ordering the paint, and then, got lost.
I will use the scheme when she was leaving Norway in May 1941 (see pic below), but I cannot decide on the right colors (and I have been looking quite a lot, including recommendations from other manufacturers).
I am used to paint with Tamiya (XF), Mr Color (C) or AK RC (RC).

Hull:
Red: mix of Tamiya XF9 + XF7 (50% each) => ok
Waterline: Mr Color C116 => ok
Above waterline: I found that it should be RAL 7000, but obviously no dedicated paint for this color. Could be: XF54, C13, C337+C62 or RC247?

Superstructure (different gray than hull): supposed to be RAL 7001
XF53, XF54, C13 or C308 ??

Any ideas which ones to use??

Thanks.

At the speed I am doing the Missouri, not sure I will start it before Xmas.
And have you decided on the colors to use?

And on Youtube, this one gives a good description (not sure if 100% correct):
