Got to say it's nagging at my brain. My OCD says no way your leaving them like that, my normal brain says that they are too small to worry about. You're seriously leaving the treads on those ladders like that ? Not bending them parallel with the deck ?
glad we didn't have ladders like that on the Roosevelt .
I just couldn't stand it any longer. Still some tidying up to do on this part but happier now. Panthermanthey need to be twisted into the proper position .
You'll regret it if you don't
leaving them like that is a seppuku worthy failure
That's how they come and what the destructions say. Happy to go with what I got but appreciate the heads up and help.Pantherman, I was not referring to the steps (I did not bend them either), but to the "side bars" below the handrails. My understanding is that those are vertical.

Fair enough. But considering it's my first 1/350 ship build and im working with what I have then in my head it looks ok.
My alternative kit part to fit was even more impressive. Definitely losing my head if I fitted them..
It's all just loose fitted, nothing permanent yet. Wanted to make sure everything fits before I prime and paint.Looking good. I'm curious, I see you have the deck on already. How are you going to paint the structure without getting spray all over the deck?
Thanks, PanthermanYou're really going to town on this one!
Nighty-night!
Hi Kevin, thanks for tip. I was a bit worried about the smaller deck parts tearing if I didn't get them right first time. PanthermanLooking good so far, Pantherman.
One thing I found useful on the "wood" deck with the adhesive backing, is to also lay down a thin layer of white glue. It allows for some sliding around even with the adhesive backing film removed. Let's you get it just right before it all sets up.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. PanthermanYou got those box screen radar antennas perfect and didn't go ga ga. Everything else PE wise will be easy. Well, until you get to the catapults. They are a little finicky fitting up with some of the plastic kit bits.
Many thanks. PMNice job Pantherman!
Ok, you got me. The stringers have been driving me nuts so I have decided to do some chopping about after work. Pantherman
Thanks Rob. I kinda like the PE as you really have to focus on it and when doing that, everything else falls away. Great stress relief for me.Really nice work on this, Panther man. God that PE is small. That's one thing I'm not good at and I'll probably use the plastic part before PE except for that ship You're Building. I can see why you left those plastic stairs off. That's actually embarrassing. Would you actually glue that to your ship? Hell no
Well I think it was worth the effort. And as a bonus, it just melted away the stress of work today.Ok, you got me. The stringers have been driving me nuts so I have decided to do some chopping about after work. Pantherman
Thanks, happier now. PMWell done PM! Looks better isn't?
