You're seriously leaving the treads on those ladders like that ? Not bending them parallel with the deck ?
glad we didn't have ladders like that on the Roosevelt .

Got to say it's nagging at my brain. My OCD says no way your leaving them like that, my normal brain says that they are too small to worry about.

Watch this space to see who wins. Pantherman

they need to be twisted into the proper position .
You'll regret it if you don't

leaving them like that is a seppuku worthy failure
I just couldn't stand it any longer. Still some tidying up to do on this part but happier now. Pantherman

Pantherman, I was not referring to the steps (I did not bend them either), but to the "side bars" below the handrails. My understanding is that those are vertical.

That's how they come and what the destructions say. Happy to go with what I got but appreciate the heads up and help.

Maybe when and if I ever do the 1/200 version it would be easier to create. Pantherman

Looking good. I'm curious, I see you have the deck on already. How are you going to paint the structure without getting spray all over the deck?
It's all just loose fitted, nothing permanent yet. Wanted to make sure everything fits before I prime and paint.

I hope to get everything together so I can show all the PE and deck before most of it gets covered up. Pantherman

Looking good so far, Pantherman.
One thing I found useful on the "wood" deck with the adhesive backing, is to also lay down a thin layer of white glue. It allows for some sliding around even with the adhesive backing film removed. Let's you get it just right before it all sets up.

Hi Kevin, thanks for tip. I was a bit worried about the smaller deck parts tearing if I didn't get them right first time. Pantherman

You got those box screen radar antennas perfect and didn't go ga ga. Everything else PE wise will be easy. Well, until you get to the catapults. They are a little finicky fitting up with some of the plastic kit bits.

Really nice work on this, Panther man. God that PE is small. That's one thing I'm not good at and I'll probably use the plastic part before PE except for that ship You're Building. I can see why you left those plastic stairs off. That's actually embarrassing. Would you actually glue that to your ship? Hell no

Thanks Rob. I kinda like the PE as you really have to focus on it and when doing that, everything else falls away. Great stress relief for me.
I often finish the little bit I was planning on doing for 30mins only to find 2 or 3 hours have passed.
