Are you doing the full camo paint?? Aligning and masking the superstructure will be challenging.

Helpful(?) tip on the camo paint job. To stripe 1:1 aircraft, we often used a single strong, bright light. We then positioned boards to cast shadows along the correct lines. This made it really easy to just tape at the shadow line.

Now, the 1:1 airplane doesn't have the intricate detail of a battleship superstructure, but hey...it's all I have to offer.

I was thinking along the lines of casting shadows so good call. Pantherman
 
Getting interesting.. but even if you find a way to make good alignments, how to paint? by brush??
