I actually had the same question. Im not sure how it can be done. Are you doing the full camo paint?? Aligning and masking the superstructure will be challenging.

I will let you know when I'm finished. PanthermanI actually had the same question. Im not sure how it can be done.
I was thinking along the lines of casting shadows so good call. PanthermanHelpful(?) tip on the camo paint job. To stripe 1:1 aircraft, we often used a single strong, bright light. We then positioned boards to cast shadows along the correct lines. This made it really easy to just tape at the shadow line.
Now, the 1:1 airplane doesn't have the intricate detail of a battleship superstructure, but hey...it's all I have to offer.
Sounds like you guys are describing a laser level!lines of casting
Now that's a cracking idea, I like it. PanthermanSounds like you guys are describing a laser level!
Just need to find a small cheap one on amazony and I've cracked it. PanthermanNow that's a cracking idea, I like it. Pantherman
Haha, too bad the superstructure is also so delicate, I was thinking some variation on old school tick-sticking might work as well...cracking idea
No. I'm describing a board and a light.Sounds like you guys are describing a laser level!
It will have to be several light coats by brush as just not able to mask the areas effectively. PanthermanGetting interesting.. but even if you find a way to make good alignments, how to paint? by brush??
Thanks. PMLooking great!
Thanks. PMLooks good
