Re: Bismark 1/400 Papermodel

I'll be working something similar in my build, but I like how yours is turning out so far

Re: Bismark 1/400 Papermodel

Good evening.
It has been a few days since the last update. I've been working on installing the first midships hull panel. This takes time, you can not rush it. First gluing along the deck side a little bit at a time, warping the deck into shape at the same time. When finished at the deck line, then along the bottom hull line, till it is all square.
This still has to be repeated on the opposite side.

The hull does look a lot nicer with most of the ribbing now covered in.
Once the other side is done, then we can move on to the aft section.
I think the ship looks longer.

Thank you for following.
Comments and questions are always welcome.

Not sure if it looks longer, but it's definitely looking good

Even looks to be tapering along the line of the hull.
Nice work, Jim

This morning the Bow and Stern pieces, which I assembled and shaped last night were installed.

Before attaching the Bow, the glue tabs were coloured the deck colour and the waterline was extended to the exposed bow frame, to hide any of the white that might show.

Then the Stern was glued into place.

This is where I am at, at this moment.

Questions and comments welcome.

Very nice fits there, although the bow looks just slightly off-kilter in the pic
