Hey guys I need to find some photo etch ship ladders in various scales. Really I need just the manufacturers then I can pan through what they've got at my leisure. Any suggestions? Thanks Anthony

    Another change with YouTube?

Maybe it's my settings though I didn't change anything but normally when I've viewed a video it is then "greyed" out and says "watched" across the view frame. Is anybody else experiencing this phenomena or is it just the 100 mile long arm of Google messing with Sasquatch?

Revell 56' Ford F-100 rust bucket

Kids I'm working out of my comfort zone here and am attempting four new things on this build. 1. A car/truck 2. Wonderful rust 3. Rust holes 4. Dents I'm as green here as string beans on a tomato plant. Scott was gracious enough to add a link to Todd's killer rusting tutorial in an earlier post...

    Todd's rusting tutorial.

I was looking for it as reference, is that gone?

    Weathering vinyl/rubber wheels.

So it's been a while since I hit the bench, maybe 8 months. I've never worked on a car before (way outside my comfort zone) so I picked up the Revell 56' Ford F-100 Pickup Ed Roth edition kit # 85-4914. I'm going to rust the poop out of this just for fun and skills building. The kit has these...

    Strobe/Flasher circuit

For those who know why more than I do. I purchased a single LED Flasher circuit from the Fiber Optic Store. This product here: http://www.fiberopticproducts.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=3_72_73&products_id=1264 And it comes pre-wired to a 9v battery clip. I wanted to hard wire it to a...

    Revell F-18 Blue Angel 1/48

This is the Ilateri F-18 Hornet re-popped by Revell many years ago in the Blue Angels markings. This will be an ambitious little build where when finished will end up in my nephews hands who asked me to build him one. What he doesn't know is that I am lighting her up as best as I can. Engines...

Question on Tamiya Flat Base X-21

I know it's used to dull down paint. It can actually flaten out some Tamiya Gloss colors pretty well too. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used it as a final flat coat to finish off their model? Can this be used like MM Flat Clear Acryl?

Any video tutorials dealing with sinkholes?

Anybody know of any? I keep finding stuff on fixing faucets. Please post, or suggest.

    BIO-HAZARD COMPUTER CASE MOD

Moderators feel free to move this to Dioramas if you feel it would be better viewed there. A little back story on my behalf. A few years back I was checking out YouTube for "creating your own decals" and someway, somehow ended up landing on this video entitled "Biohazard Computer Case Mod"...

    Model Masters Metalizers

Someone here used this on a Falcon recently and they seemed to have liked it. I've never used them before so I'm wondering how you guys that have used them like it? I see that Testors has several they sell in sprays and more in jars. Any reason for this? Seems odd.

Sharpie markers, do you use them?

I ran into Staples this morning and had passed these down the pen isle. I've used the Metallic Silver before to simulate chip marks and make piping pop but I've never seen the Metallic Gold before. Anyone ever use Sharpies, the other colors I mean, for modeling? I also noticed they had an Oil...

Pro Shop X-Wing....shelf queen for sure.

As the title says this was a group build over at SSM that turned in to a shelf queen. Scott and Ty killed this thing but I have to say I was happy to be in it with them. Finished off in the Blue 7 livery it's not canon to the Star Wars universe however I did take the liberties to use artistic...

New stuff from Revell Germany later this year

Came across this at SSM. If you scroll about 3/4 of the way down there is a 1/500 scale JJ prise coming out and a huge 1/30 scale X-Wing. 41cm long makes this 2-3 cm longer then the Pro Shop X-Wing if I'm not mistaken. http://www.plastik-modellbau.org/blog/revell-neuheiten-2013/2013/ It would...

The Hobbit. Did ya see it? Like? Hate? indifferent?

Being a huge Tolkien fan I've been chomping on the bit for a decade for this to come to light. Finally....I thank the Gods as I tip wine in their honor. I went to a Sunday matinee and liked it despite the nearly three hour running time. I found Radagast too quirky and childish for my taste, but...

What wire do you guys use for lighting?

Just posted this over at SSM. Kind of curious as to what you guys use. I've been using 30 gauge Kynar wire and I find that after several runs of testing my lighting, connecting to power and so forth, the circuit fails and nothing lights. (this drives me nuts as I have to undo all my work and...

    Minicraft P-38J Lightning

So I've been kicking this around for a while simply because I like the airframe. Minicrafts 1/48 scale P-38J Lightning. Two booms, short fuselage, sort of a retro WWII Y wing fighter. The kit comes with three markings options for which I'm still undecided on. Not a whole lot of parts on this...

    Quick question on scribing

OK, so you've joined a fuselage together and have finished all your seam work and naturally sanded away some panel line details that happen to traverse the seam. Now I've always wondered about this so I came up with the brilliant idea of posting this question to my brethren and peers. Is it...
