Supermarine Spitfire MK.I

Question.
Should I add Devon's American friend Phil to "Phil-in" for added interest?
Phil was an alternate/add on for the Corsair kit.

I would, it adds a little something . Some might say it wouldn't happen so no but we do this great hobby to have fun and Phil made me smile. Pantherman

Thanks.
This hobby is full of what if possibilities. I think I'm just going to have fun with this kit and place technicalities to the side.
I know that the camo should a harder line instead of the overspraylinke I have. However, I might mask and repaint the camo. I did buy some Silly Putty to aid in masking camo lines. The blue tacky stuff leaves bits behind at times.

Thanks.

I like it as it is but you have to feel happy with it so whatever it takes to achieve that will be the finished build. Pantherman

Thanks.
And for this week it has been my therapy crutch.
I just need to make an appointment to visit my Dr. ;) something I have to do sometimes.

This hobby has been a godsend for me and my mental health. I wasn't doing well.

I decided to give the camo a crisper line I have a few touchups that I missed with tape. Some areas are a little splotches and soft but that's OK since it will be weathered with a coat of a pale grey and sepia wash lightly sprayedfor the dusty dirty effect like I did for the P-38 but, not as harsh as the Corsair.

Well that certainly looks a lot crisper, think you made the right decision to respray it.

Thanks. It was kind of fun cutting the tape and trying to match the existing curves.
I saw this masking putty from AK so I looked it up on Amazon and online. Looks like it does a fair job.
But I enjoyed cutting and splicing the tape. However, the putty might come in handy form time to time.

Wel, I started the decals. However, it looks like a drunk monkey put them on. :p
The letter M on the underside was sooo tiny, I don't know how I managed to apply it.

Yeah, the monkey did good.
Drunk Like A Boss GIF

The monkey can hold his liquor then . Cuz I don't see any problems .

BTW , my dad used that expression all the time .
Thanks, there is some wiggle on the left wing from the walk-way line. It's OK though.

Drunk monkeys are everywhere lol

Finished the bottom decals. And started the top and left side. Since there are some protrusions, I remembered a tip of poking holes around it then apply Mr. Mark Softer.
