Hi, Ian, I meant scratchbuild the post, but on closer inspection, it looks like you used some wood stock for the post. Basswood, I take it? It looks great.

I like how your wood grain came out on the piece of styrene you used for the sign, too. I haven't quite mastered that technique yet.
 
The post is part basswood, part balsa.

Woodgrain on the sign is just a few passes of 180 grit sandpaper!
 
Your work on the sign is really good but from a aesthetic standpoint, I like the other sign better. All in all it's a very cool build!
 
I prefer the plastic sign, not that the hand painting isn't good. To me whoever owns this thing would have bought a sign, not painted one. I find it fits better.
