brushing a flat/matt coat

can it be done... would vallejo work???
i have no airbrush and tight budget so i would like it not to be from a can.

Yeah I do it all the time with Vallejo, usually only on small parts, but should be the same on larger parts. Test it out on a scrap kit to see how it flows.
