Boatmans 1/200 scale USS HORNET CV8 BUILD AN LIGHTS for the Doolittle raid on japan

HI GUYS well im now starting to spray paint the planes but this ole clear plastic wont let the glue take to it as ive just lost 2 undercarts on two planes to the carpet monster as they have just fallen off the planes this ole clear plastic is crap to glue to oh dear an one under cart bein so fragile has broken so thats three planes i will have to have in the hangars bein worked on by the maint crews
i must say im not enjoyin building these tiny planes at all hope the bigger B25 build better

WELL first pic today is of a little devil that has snuck into my model room after jen bought me up a cuppa an here she is its lilley as she was thinking hmm i could use this to lay on an stretch out untill i see her an snapped a pic after i shouted at her to get off lol

an im still working on these damm tiny plane trying to fit the decals on an i lost one an just as i got it on the wing i sneezed an blew the decal away AAACCCHHHRRRRRR just dont seem to have much luck on this ship an planes worst model ive built anyway dropped another decal in the water an the damm things keep curlin over but i managed to uncurl them an fit on

AN on this plane still a prop to fit if i can cut it off the sprue without it brakeing

AN CRAP plane here as due to it bein made in glass plastic i havnt got the tail planes level worst model ive built an eye strain so i packed up for today i suppoce i could brake it off an reglue it just as well these planes will be in the hangar bay

HI GCB no way ive had enough of these little buggers nearly sent me over the edge but that bad plane above is now ok as i did brake off the tail plane an reglue it it the proper place so its ok now as i would like to dump them but im not goin to be beat like i was on the p/e as i WILL BUILD THIS SHIP an get it so it looks reasonable

HELLO CHAPS well hoo bleedin ray ive finished these pesky little ole planes all bar one prop to fit an yes it broke when i was tryin to gently cut it off the glass sprue AAAARRRCCCCHHHHH an left bottom of the pic

AN so after tryin 4 times to reglue the broke prop i did it but then what happens it now was glued to the base board AAARRRCCHHH SO what to do well i had to get a small scalpel an gently try an slide it under the prop to relese it an yes was shakin a lot but i did it (phew) this aint good for the ole ticker

AN here the prop is relested from the build board an you can see how small it is to my finger tip

AN HOO BLOOMIN RAY IVE BUILT THEM ALL bar two that lost or broke their undercarts an props them pesky little ole planes an boy am i glad as i was near to my limit (phew) not good for the ole ticker

SO what next well i'll have to fit them in the hangar deck an fit in red battle lights an then fit on the stress parts that supports the flight deck an fit prop sharts an props on the ship forgot about them

...if you're gluing these with CA, place them on a freezer bag when you apply the glue, nothing sticks to that!

HI B/B WHAT type of frezzer bag as we dont use them in our frezzer ? pic please

Dunno what is available over in your part of the world, but these work really well.
