Ace Of Spades Tamiya 1/32 Scale P-51D Mustang, BUILDING HAS BEGUN!

finally... its on its way, but i have already started the designing process.... here is a rough draft of the Decals... they may not be in this order when they are done... i just did a print and i think they will do just fine. but im going to get them professionally done this time, so she will have some good looking decals.






i want to put her on a platform, make it look like Asphalt or concrete... i could probably work on her platform somewhat before she even gets here... how do you guys get that cement or tarmack look?

Atom Fusion, the pilot who flew the Ace Of Spades, got married to a young woman named Amber... she flew in a Womans squadron. he later put a pin up of her on the side of his airplane. they married in 1942 during there services.

yes, it was done like that to go along with the paint scheme of the plane, most of the plane is black, so... it seemed appropriate that i make her dress like that. to be honest i love black hair, and black lipstick, i think it looks cool, but mostly it just goes along with the paint scheme.

sure will, my plan is to start with the engine... i got a book on the mustang, with the Rolls Royce Packard Merlin in it, detailed pictures on all the parts and stuff.

As to 1/32 concrete, go to the hardware store and get some sheets of sandpaper 600 or so. Spray can it light grey grunge it up some, and cut it into sections and glue it to a board. Keep a tiny gap inbetween the sheets and add some Elmers and fine white or black sand. Stick an odd weed or blade of grass and poof cheapo cool concrete.

mmmhmmmmm thats a fine slice of cheese cake right there!

however i cannot be fooling with that on here, i am on the school computer system, they may think i am playing with pornography... gotta be carful.

i would but i cant edit that photo... besides, andy will clean her up im sure... there is only so much i can do with a simple computer system and in order to re create amber in the origional pose... would be impossible to find a picture of her to photo edit!


ON ANOTHER NOTE!

The kit has arrived at home, however its too late, i am at school and will be for two aganizing weeks... the pain of the wait to open her will kill me, but i will have to deal with it, i have tons of work to do...

color? was black the only color, i have seen some packard merlin engines red... or was that just for show? or is that the earlier V-1650-3?

the majority of the engines where black... i know that for a fact, and ever Merlin i see is black in the kits, but i have not yet seen a red merlin engine. if there was such thing, which i have a feeling there is not...
