    Millenium Falcon...guitar?!

This joins together two of my favorite things: (other than chocolate and peanut butter) guitars and Star Wars. The maker of this beast is a better craftsman than guitarist but...still pretty cool ;D http://gizmodo.com/5884278/millennium-falcon-guitar-guarantees-you-a-spot-in-the-cantina-band

    1/6 M1919

I built this for my brother in law for Christmas. It was fun to change it up and work on something larger scale than I'm used to. My bro in law really liked it. When I showed a picture of it to my dad, he was convinced that it was real...always a bonus ;)

    Skyrim

Anyone playing Skyrim? I'm about 30 hours in, and according to some sources, I still have about 70 hours to go...and I thought spending 25 hours on a model was bad... :o Aside from the massive amounts of model building time being sucked up by this game, I have to say its just about the best one...

    Just in time for Halloween

You guys will appreciate this..its a little bloody, but obviously over the top and fake and hilarious (to me anyway). I still have scars from my first few kits ;D

    Hobby Boss LAV-150

Just finished today. Its right outta the box. Tamiya acrylics, mig pigments (a bit overdone perhaps..this was a good model to experiment on) and some oils for weathering.

    1/6 Dora Gun

I haven't seen this posted here. This thing must be over 20 ft long. I've been looking into a 1/35 lately, but this takes the cake. Make sure you click the "Click here to continue to the photo gallery of my build. . . " link...quite impressive. Keep in mind, the action figures you see are a foot...

    Tracks for Dragon M3A1?

I'm having a heck of time getting the hard plastic tracks onto my Dragon M3a1 (kit 6332). They're just one piece, molded...no individual links, no flexibility at all. Anyone know if there is a rubber version of these tracks, or an equivalent that I can use? I don't want to force the tracks on...

    Any hockey fans?

Any hockey fans on the board? I'm a lifelong Bruins fan, and my wife is a Rangers fan, so we watch or listen to 160+ games per year, not counting the playoffs. Luckily our two teams haven't met in the playoffs since 72..though its a possibility this year. We have season tickets to the Providence...

    Airbrush blockage?

I use an Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS. There are bubbles in my paint cup. I already cleaned dry paint off the needle..there really wasn't much. I was using a .35 when this started. I placed my .50 back in and had the same problem, so I'm thinking there is blockage in the paint 'port' for lack of a...

    Moisture Trap Question

I just installed one of these: in the middle of my setup. Its very basic: compressor>1/4" line>moisture trap/regulator>1/4" line>airbrush. I have a noisy compressor, and its draining much more rapidly with the trap installed. I checked for leaks, couldn't find any. My question is, do traps...

Just Visited Mig Jimenez' Blog For the First Time...

I'm getting back into model building after a long layoff, and I hadn't heard of this guy until today. Wow. Just...wow. If I wasn't so persistent (and have so much time devoted to it already), I would probably sell all my modeling stuff and take up bird watching...how the heck can anyone compete...

Someone has built part of the M*A*S*H set in their backyard!

Check it out....he even made the moonshine still! Unfortunately, there's no details on the page, just a few pics. http://imgur.com/a/ztcon

    Good Ol' Tamiya 1/35 Jeep

This is my first completed model in about 20 years. I tried some new (to me) techniques, like using oil paints to weather, and using pastel chalks to create 'mud'. This was also my first Tamiya model, and I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to build. I will be buying higher quality models...

    Lindberg 1:60 Shrimp Boat

This one is going to be a Christmas gift for my parents, who live by the ocean. I know Lindberg has a rep for some 'chunky' details in their kits, but I think I can work with this one. Its going to be a 'working boat', so if I mess up somewhere along the line, it'll be pretty easy to disguise...

    Hilarious Vader Figure

Just opened a kit from the late 80's and found this guy... He's like a mutation of Vader and Manuel Noriega with a bad hangover.

    AMT/Ertl Millennium Falcon-Cutaway

My first "WIP" post! Also my first attempt at painting with an airbrush, and the first model that I've worked to over 50% completion in about 20 years. Here's a look at the loose parts somewhat assembled. I took some major liberties with the interior. Its sloppy, but thats kind of the...
