Finally managed to get an hour at the bench. Photos attached. I realised that the last bit of cables is fitted wrong........ managed to ease it off so I can clean it, straighten it, and then hopefully refit it tomorrow. Twice the fun. Pantherman

I haven't used a giant knife blade in the photo, it's a standard modelling craft knife blade.

WELL i get a headake tryin to fit this stuff so you are not the only oneI think I have a headache just thinking about trying this!
Thanks. The Pontos details are worth it I think. PMThat's really looking good. All that work will really pay off when you get to paint and weathering it.
That looks incredible!! Did you sand all those details off the ship before adding the PE?Well I have finally got one side of the fore part superstructure fitted. It needs cleaning up before priming.
I haven't fitted the grilles to the vents yet as they are crying out for me to break them off when fitting the PE to the other side.
I think it's taken 10hrs to just fit this side, should be able to do the other side in 8ish hrs as I now have a better idea of where they go without having to check pontos instructions against the Anatomy book plans. Pantherman

I use my homemade pin applicator to put a tiny drop of CA onto the plastic, then pick up the part with a sticky pencil and place it onto the CA. Only just enough to tack it in position then when set I run a drop of ultra thin CA onto the part with a micro flexible syringe tube which runs around the part to permanently secure it. PMAnd very clean work! I am still spraying a lot of CA glue when adding a piece. How do you do?
Oh yes, 3 evenings to sand almost everything off, you have to be really careful and check every single detail against the Pontos instructions. Great fun. That looks incredible!! Did you sand all those details off the ship before adding the PE?
Wow. Are you retired?Oh yes, 3 evenings to sand almost everything off, you have to be really careful and check every single detail against the Pontos instructions. Great fun.
The red is what needs to be removed then I sand it and cover the area with black marker, then sand it again with fine sponge until the black is gone. It's easier to see where all the little dips and scratches are as you sand the black off. Pantherman
