A template is nice! Looks good and uniform! So Easter has given me a chance to get a little bit more done. I want to get the hull moving on a bit so have started drilling all the 0.3mm and 0.5mm holes for the various PE. Thankfully pontos have provided templates. Pantherman

How long is that?I have had to add an extension top to the bench as this beast is just too big to keep moving around.
I will keep my previous top as it's a nice sized bench extension for smaller kits. Pantherman

The shelf is 1600mm and the ship is 1263mm. PanthermanHow long is that?
So 125.3 cm, 2.54cm per inch, approx 55-57 inches long? Ok just checked my math and it's more like 48". Now I have a headache from math! Haha. I remember them telling us in high school we'd be using metric system in the future. I'm a bit familiar with it because I'm in the medical field but we're still standard measurements! The shelf is 1600mm and the ship is 1263mm. Pantherman
Thanks Kevin, will probably get the hang of fitting near the end. Only another 210 to go..... PanthermanCongratulations sir, the ladder rungs caused me the most frustration on the USS IOWA.
Those look pretty darn good![]()
Thanks Barley. PMVery nice! Those are looking great.
Thanks, and I pretty much am batshit crazyYou know? Messing with PE? I just don't know if I could do a big ship like that without going batshit crazy. Those pictures are awesome. You make it look so darn easy
Thanks, it's all glued together. The extra thin CA is great to hide. PMNice! Dont even see the glue! Or you didn't apply glue so far?
I agree, many thanks. PMIts times like these that I think the Pontos sets are worth the money. Other times, not so much.
Looking good......
