Working on the Corsair PE parts and a nice crisp adult beverage.
I've already had a part *zing* away. Never to be seen again.

If it did land there it was waaay too small to notice.
My brown water was very tasty- citrus notes.

I'm not going to inundate the thread with a million photos like the P-38. Lol

Oh, it'll show up again. After you've replaced it and finished the model.
Tamiya's Corsair is a nice kit. Is yours the boxing with the moto-tug? That's a nice little kit in its own right.

I'm not that old (57).
Details give our work  life which is was I try to recreate.
Having unsteady hands must be frustrating at times. Sometimes my hands get fidgety if i take a certain medication. When that happens i give it a rest or work on other parts.

Tamiya's Corsair is a nice kit. Is yours the boxing with the moto-tug? That's a nice little kit in its own right.

It is the same model.
I plan to incorporate the Corsair with the P-38 in a diorama.
The 38 is already sitting on the airfield with a maintenance crew from my B-17G... until I can find the window sprue for the 17.

I've got the Tamiya US Navy pilots set, which includes the tug, too. Good diorama piece.

My cockpit is waaay too bright. Looks florescent!

I'm going to attempt to disassemble the cockpit and paint a layer of olive drab to subdue the bright green chromate. I think by doing that might get closer to a proper chromate.

A dark brown ink wash or something like Army Painter's Strong Tone Wash or even just burnt umber oil wash/filter may change the tone enough to get the color without having to take it apart and repaint

Black might work, but I would put in at least a little bit of brown tint

If you want to remove / minimize a color with a filter ( wash ) always use a color that is opposite on the color wheel .

To remove a yellow/green use a filter with a red/purple .
