Hit the top with a filter, applied some weathering too and bottom, wheel wells, cowling etc. will do some additional weathering manana. Going to leave the top open on this one.

And she's done. I took my time with this build partly because I had ordered decals specific for Gabreskis plane. I feel good about this one. Invasion stripes are meant to be faded, hastily "removed" and touched up over. This was based on the order to remove the upper invasion stripes as it made the planes easier to spot from above. Probably not an effect they wanted! Used AK Laq's, made my own washes with oils and used an AK dark brown wash as well. Great kit, typical Tamiya. Actually, after this build I'm thinking I'm going to try to stick with a Tamiya moving forward. Hope you enjoy!

Yes! I particularly liked how he used his fluency in Polish to get an assignment with the 506! Smart move.
