HI JUST fit some 2mm firbe optics to work from yor main light but just touch the F/O on a solderin iron to make a lence in the f/o then thread them through the port holees from the outside an take them to your light system easy peasy

Great minds think alike, fiber optic cable is already on order. Pantherman

Well it looks like that went according to plan so now going to start on the aft portholes.

Added a few bits to the stack and the boat sheds. Next step will be some of the smaller guns then some railings. Trying to do a deck at a time so I don't destroy what I have built by leaning on the decks.

Thought I would share this little trick from my suspended ceiling fixing days.

To straighten wire of any thickness just tie one end to a fixed point and put the other end into a drill, spin the drill until you feel it starting to pull towards the fixed end. When you release the wire it will stay straight. Pantherman

How does this work? Does the fiber optics actually connect to the led? Or it just picks up the light? You then run it through the ports and cut? Do you cap off port with epoxy?
The FO just picks up the light from the led in the middle of the hull. You can bend the FO but only gently as a sharp bend cuts the light.

I pushed the FO through the portholes and CA glued them in place on the inside. Once completely dry I used sprue cutter to trim them flush with the hull.
