Repurposed Pickup Truck

So I've decided to cut out the back doors (or perhaps just one?) and build in 'gunner positions'.

To help with this concept I also cut the back seat in half.

The back bed is also assembled.

Looking good at this point. I like the back door idea. You are going to weather this right ??? :)

Off to an excellent start Ian! Love the goodies from the yarn store.

Thanks everyone. Since the deadline is creeping up I'll be putting the bike build (back) on hold and focusing on this.

One last edition to the scratch building will be a collection of fine wire cloth and brass rod that I just ordered from McMaster-Carr.

Ok, bit of interior action.

Q. What would be your suggestions for an all over filter/wash/something for the interior space, to take the edge off?

Very nice. Great pics too.

Yeah, a wash. Well a dark brown wouldn't hurt...boot tracked mud color. I'd start under the seat area to get a feel for how it will behave.

Yeah nice and crisp, I'd go light brown tones for the wash, my mates old Hilux was full of dust and dirt, as soon as you sat down cement would puff out of the seats lol.

AK makes an Africa Korps Filter AK-065, which will meet your needs and won't darken it too much.

Knocked up a roll cage thing from brass and styrene rod.

This will be for a gunner position in the back seat.
