paint tray thingy

help , what is the name of the round paint tray things you guys use for brush painting, that looks like a deviled egg holder?
.. is it a hobby specific item/brand or something from a home goods store?

I get mine at Michaels craft store, they have a feww different styles/sizes.

You mean a palette? ;D SMM is right, you can get them at Michael's, also AC Moore, or any art supply store. I got mine at an art supply store, it's ceramic, with six wells arranged around a center well.

But I used to use an old china saucer, before I bought my current palette. The main criterion was that it should be non-porous, and the saucer was perfect. I replaced it because I wanted more separate wells.

I picked some up at the dollar store Rocketman. Mind you, that's in Cananda.

Got mine at Walmart. It cost a couple dollars I think. If you can get one that is made out of HDPE plastic, dried paints don't stick to it very well, so it's easy to clean out.

thanks fellas , sounds like I won't have a problem finding one at the craft store , I'll be at hobby lobby tomorrow , and check around .
