That plane has lethality written all over it. Very nice render.
How do you do that? I often rummage through bins at my LHS and come home with yellowed decals.cleaned off
These aren't so much yellowed but the old glue on the back is very milky, chunky and white in nature and needs to be removed (typical of old Monogram kits especially). After soaking the decal, using tweezers I remove it from the paper and place it face down onto a wet finger and then wipe off the glue with a wet paint brush. I then apply Microset to the model and place the decal with the tweezers. Its a pain, but I like to use the old decals when I can.How do you do that? Do you ever use Tamiya decal adhesive or some such? I'm guessing it's not really necessary with the MicroSetdecal
I have not used that. A good gloss base coat and MicroSet/MicroSol work well enough. I do use Microscale Liquid Decal Film for old brittle decals though. I think there was a big discussion about that a few months ago.Do you ever use Tamiya decal adhesive or some such? I'm guessing it's not really necessary with the MicroSet
Looks good!
Haha, in that state they look ready for the fourth of July! Or Canada Day on this side of the border!highly accurate
Flying fish… with big, sharp teeth!Nice!
I know they are birds, but flat on their backs they look so much like fish!![]()
Oh great, as if the acrylic-lacquers and alcohol-enamels weren't confusing me enough, THANKS!water-mixable oils
Europeans have an organization that does the same thing as ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials), the principal standards setting organization on this side of the Atlantic. You, too, are doomed.
Looks good! Is it 1/32?Finished with this beast. It's so big it barely fit on my backdrop. If I ever find the wing tank I'll put it on.
