Hi Guys!
Ok, this is my first build article that I will share here at ScaleModelAddict... I had started this a few weeks ago and am keeping a "thread" of it at another site but wanted to share it with you here as well...
I am building this kit for my wife's grandfather who had given me a very nice 1964 VW Bug as a gift last Christmas. He was a B-24 pilot back during WWII and I thought he would appreciate a nicely detailed model of one.
The kit is from Hasegawa. I am using some Eduard Photo-Etch and their canopy mask also... It is going to be an "All Metal" finish with some minor detailing on the panel lines and exhaust staining... Other than that, grandpa had asked for a "new" look for his model...
Here are the build pics so far... Towards the end of the pics you'll notice a difference in the pics... I am using a different camera and still "teething" on it... Please bear with me!
Problems with adding weight to nose... They want 90gr. I think it is a typo... The 3 large weights you will see are the 90 gr. and there is no way it will fit where they want it...
My solution is to use some smaller weights and go from there...
Here is where I am using the new camera...
Sorry I didn't give a whole lot of detail with these pics... I will try to add more info when I upload new ones and get you updated...
'Til next time!
