Finally, the Stuka

Details look great!

I need to pick up one of the PE tools. I have a lot of stuff for ships that have been waiting in the wings

They are expensive. I just went for the smallest to see if It was any good and have found it perfect for the amount of PE I do.

I was curious if the small one was the best deal or if I would have to wind up buying a larger one later as well

From what I can see the larger set means that you all the various size teeth all set up. With the small one you have to turn the teeth to suit the size PE you are folding.

Personally I keep it mostly set to the thinner teeth and just turn it if I am doing something with a longer fold. 1/48 scale PE is bloody small.

Basically you are paying double for a slight inconvenience. Also the small clamp fit's nicely in my PE tool box. You know I'm a neat freak, right?

Others may have a different view but that's my opinion and it works very well for me.

This one's coming along very nicely Rob. Doncha just hate it when it comes to the point in the build that you've gotta slap the fuselage halves together and cover up a good portion of that interior? I had a blast with my Hase Ju-87 interior but almost couldn't bring myself to go much further after the cockpit build.

I'm Hudson sir... He's Hicks.

;)

Leave it up to the new guy to mess it all up. Sorry about that. Still.........good lookin' interior. Shame it's gotta get all covered up.

thanks for the info, that is very useful to know

Made a little more progress, the PE takes ages but I am liking the challenge. It's finally starting to look like a Stuka at last.

Had a bit more time at the bench today so it's been quite productive. Got the main build cleaned and primed and made some of the ground crew while thing's dried.

Little bit more done. Having a few issues with the front wing seams but hopefully have them filled and sanded enough now. Got to touch in the primer in place's ready for the aluminum base coat.
