It is such torture being dragged into a hobby store.
Those damn kits always find a way into the buggy. Hate when that happens. HA!!

Yes. I borrowed some 25mm floor screed insulation when I was on site last week.

Well, when I say "borrowed" I kinda mean I re-purposed it !!!!! Pantherman

Started to add some texture and colour to the diorama. The landing craft is done, just a few extras, the guns and crew to add.

Got 23 figures to make and paint so that will slow thing's down a bit.

Got to sort the water colour out as it's the Channel and not the Bahamas !!!! But I think I'm fairly happy with the shell blasts.

Probably another 3 - 4 weeks until thing's are looking better. Pantherman

Lol I used to deliver shingles and drywall. I know what its like to “borrow” material from a site

First let me state that my model is not something new for this challenge, but I had to share.
The idea of a D-Day collective build is a wonderful idea...sorry I only just found this thread.

Second, I am not sure the photo shared by Mycatistypingthis is of the actual "Beer Truck" Spitfire.
That looks more like a posed fun photo, with pretend filling of a large fuel tank.
(The type not carried by Spits. I don't think)

I have different photos of the Beer Truck Spit, which i used for my own model.
Kegs themselves were attached to the underside of the wings.

And on that note, this is my Beer Truck Spitfire (as a paper model), shared here.
(Its a 1/32 paper model kit I sell)
