Colonial Viper Mark 3--updated 12/4

Cool. Kind of a "Scarlet Viper look" to it. Nice job Quaralane.

i really like how you used electrical tape for masking!! its actually a good idea, it wont soak in like your average masking tape as easy, and isnt so sticky that it will rip somewhat fresh paint off! do you find any negative sides to using electrical tape for masking?

Thanks guys.
She's in the home stretch now

@13aceofspades13,
Only downside I've found with using electrical tape is its flexibility.
Sometimes won't stay straight on a long line

Go man go!

If you get a chance Quaralene, you might want to try frisket film. I tried it out on my Queen of Night build for the first time, and was very happy with the results.

I'll consider it, JMac, but most of my paint schemes are relatively simple.
Masking tape usually does the job for me.
Electrical seems best for curved areas.

:)

More techniques mean you always have a plan "b" (or "c" or even "d") for those times when your favorite way to do something doesn't work out. I learn so much just from seeing how other guys approach builds here on the forum.

Strong finish on you Viper BTW, I'll keep an eye open for your entry over at Starship Modeller.

Very true, JMac. Which is why I plan on keeping options open.
Like when I go to do the armor on the Solaria.

And thanks for the compliments.
She may not be a winner, but I gave it my shot
