Hi fellas,

This is my new project, rescued from being sent the garbage, smelling like rust, I have not yet defined what I do, if someone can help with information of a model semi-abandoned, with the wheels burst, and that just start rotten with rust, thank you.

Hey Richard!!!

Nice save!! This looks like it's to be a good one!!! Can I assume you will be giving this the old rust treatment!!!! I will be following along!! ;)

Looks like the perfect rust project Richard. Just use Google "Images" and you can find lots of photos of rusty cars. You just have to decide how dead and rusty you want it to be.

Here are a few pics to get you started.

By the way, I've seen people make blown tires by cutting a bit off the bottom, then heating up that part of the tire and pressing down on a hard surface. This should give the impression of a flat tire.

Thanks friends,
Matt: thanks for the informations and the pics. Lol, I've thought about this model and want to make a rust BBQ. 8) enjoy my summer 91,4º F, 33º C
Todd: Lol, friend you are welcome

searching in the web I found this book to download, contains pics and attractive models to get something done with them. Sample pics of the wheels I wanted.

Now I will focus on advancing this project.

The tears look good Richard. You can back those tears up with a little cotton from a Q-tip or cotton ball to represent the stuffing in the seat. Or paint something to look like foam that is also found as the cushion in many seats. Just an idea I thought I'd throw out to you.

Hello fellas,

Matt: Thanks for the help, but I had in mind to use something other than of cotton

I leave you my progress on the weathering of the seats in the Chevy, I did the filling from a Tampon, fiber gave me the results obtained, for weathering I use washes & effects K4, Brown Wash, Medium Brown wash and Afrika Korp wash.
I leave some pics of the progress

That stringy, fiber-ish look scales really nicely for the seat stuffing. And a stunning job on the floor, too! Hey, do you know where I can find some of your products here in Canada?

Nice showing Richard!! The seat damage is looking tremendous my friend and you get some bonus points for using household objects!! I like the rusty floor panels as well, big strides on this Sir!!! Looking forward to more!!! ;D

Thanks frieds: Qualarane, Matt and T.

Friends, let these small steps where did the damage by corrosion in the Chevy, I thin plastic with a mini drill, I hope tomorrow rust paint.
Then I'll paint the Chevy in light green and white.

Hi fellas, thanks all for the comments and look.

Christmas is coming and it's crazy, I take the time I have to post some pictures of my progress in the Chevy. The interior is almost finished, except a few details.

The colors applied in the body are light rust and rust to give color contrasts in the chipping.
I want to show you how to get the result of rust effect K4, this is one of the many application processes. In this step we apply the base with a brush in the places we want to get rust.
Once you apply the base, apply the catalysts, the agents light blue will give us orange tones and the agents transparent give us rust colors darker.

When is dry the base appears our rust, I now proceed to use the techniques of salt and hair lacquer, then paint.
