After the M3 halftrack, I will go back to battleships and ready to build the Revell kit.

Interesting to me that after so many years, manufacturers haven't found a way to improve assembly at the hull/ seam line along the keel, other than to offer a uni-hull...
Though it is true of the other model types as well; IMHO, meaning that mastering any one type of model is about overcoming the failings of the kit engineering as much as it is about understanding the intricacies of a particular type of craft/vehicle.

Will see when starting to add the PE from Pontos kit... Struggling already to understand their instructions
WELL GCB If you anything like me you will struggle to also fit the damm p/e esp if you get the shakes but i hope you dont sir an are you goin to fit a few light in her ?

While starting to paint the hull, I looked further at some instructions(?) from Pontos.
They cover the bulkheads of the superstructure (after sanding their details) with PE panels and then add details.
It looks nice however tricky to install those plates, keeping them aligned without gap and getting them into shape with the curves. Not sure yet which route I will go: keep the original and only add details or do the full lot.

Pontos kit is a beautiful piece of art, however Revell, is a piece of *$%£!
After the bow, another piece is missing its end! And look at the quality on the opposite part , which, at least, is complete.
Probably Revell never heard about Quality Control.
Not planning to buy another Revell kit!!

That's shocking quality. Have you sent that photo to them? Pantherman

That part looks to be shorter in the instruction images , yeah ?
don't think it's missing anything

No, instructions show same length (just the angle of the drawing hiding part of it) and the deck below and above are made for the full length.
I will add two plastic pieces (2 bents) and it will not show as covered with the PE plates.
