At St "Chicken Walker"

My bad....Here they are dry fitted on the rear of the Walker. Still have some putty work to do to clean up the seam and need to drill the two exhaust holes....What do you guys think?

Okay...Just had to work on the "guns" again...Added a "Turret" and another gun to the "chin cluster."

Used a "tank tread" from a Tamiya Greebly kit and modified it to simulate a belt feed...

Added some armor plate to the "cab" because...well...anyone that has ever built this kit knows...There is No armor on the cab to speak of..Oh Wait...There is a sad excuse for armor molded into the kit... but that won't do...

So...I'll call it a night. Letting the Tamiya putty sit over night and onto the sanding. Next up...Railings...Hydraulic hoses and then primer...Maybe some more greeblies!

I take it your referring to that "little stub" that's supposed to be a "Mini Gun." Lmao! I am trying to find a "parts" kit with a "Chain Gun" so I can replace it...If not, I'll scratch build one. That lil stub throws the whole thing off kilter! Lmao

that's supposed to be a "Mini Gun." Lmao!

Har ! That's pretty lame indeed ::) .

I think I might get a couple of these things to mess with ----- after I build my MaK Camel :p

These are one man rigs , right ? What scale is this kit supposed to be ?

Jeez....I have no clue as to scale. There is nothing on the box...it's an original 1983 kit that I bought on EBAY for 10 bucks..and has no scale but I would say it's about 7 inches tall when complete.

They are fun to mess with. They fit is terrible. It's a "Snap Kit so the pins don't line up too good and there are some nasty seams to deal with but nothing that can't be overcome with some patience I suppose

You've got a lot of patience to have to do such extensive modifications to the kit. I can't believe it didn't even have the exhaust ports moulded in! 7" tall isn't a bad size for fun.

Watching with anticipation!

This is looking great!!!
I really like the weapon package you built for the "chin".
This thing will be great when finished.
;D

Hey Gilbert ,
This is pretty cool --- this drawing says that little cheek thingy is a grenade launcher ( more believable at that size )

at-st2.gif

I'm trying to figure out how big the "real " one is , then the scale of yours at that 7 inches tall

...............that Fence Cutting Blade on the foot is an interesting touch ( ? ) ( ,, cattle rustlers ...- GET A ROPE ! )

Hmmm? Looking at this blueprint, it seems I missed the "sensor pod." Oh well. It was never intended to be "Movie accurate....LOL

Thanks for the blue print Keith. I'll keep it in mind for the second one I'm building.

;D .
Most of the renderings seem to show this thing at about 30 feet tall . Some look more like 60 foot , but I don't know if that represents a diff machine or it's just artistic license ::)
Anyway -- that makes it ~ 1/50 , so 1/48 scale kits are perfect donors for bashing ;D ;D

I want to build one weapon'd out for a suicide mission .....

Quick update...

Added some "bolts" and assorted greeblies to the cab. These bolts drove me crazy. Tiny!
