A little more. I don't use the 2k on the top cover, used a satin to differentiate it. Had to remove part of the bottom of the car interior and cut the "axle" in order to get the engine to fit. Installed spark plug boots and will add lines etc tomorrow. Hopefully wrap the final version tomorrow. I love the cream color interior with this red. It makes me want to look for this classic. I used to get 6 mpg back in the day- just can't see doing that now.
So I was progressing decently and then remembered - the distributor needs boots too. Argh. Not digging the way these wires are laying.

Holding parts and spraying accelerator … you must be blessed with three arms! 😆
Haha. I put my accelerator in a dropper bottle. I'll wet the part I'm gluing to with accelerator , apply the CA to the wire and then touch the wire to the wet distributor- glued almost instantly.

Have you checked out resinridez? I used to buy from texas3d but like this guys stuff better. Hes a lot more responsive and did a custom job for me- and cheaper!
I remember the name, i will have to check them out again and see what they have and add some of the parts and contact to the foundry thread. 👍

The things we go through in the name of getting things to fit. You're doing a bang up job on this ride with that striking paint job and engine bay & interior detailing. Been out for a week or so due to being sick and then having a surprise visit from our son but am getting all caught up in here.

Good stuff so far @Ron2

Thanks! Hope your feeling better!

So the plug boots were pre-drilled but I mucked that up. I think I should have gotten smaller gauge wire. Hood is slightly warped so I may glue that in the open position which may disguise the fact that my ignition wires are way too long. This has been a learning experience. Hopefully next one is better. This was for my dad, he loved the burgundy color and GTO's and will go next to his urn.

Despite the troubles you had with the hood and with the wires this turned out to be a very good looking car Ron. Convertibles are tough to build in the fact that the interiors of these rides are the showcase of the build so you've definitely got that going with this one.

You've most certainly got no kick comin' buddy. Good show. Looking forward to seeing the next one.

Thanks I appreciate that!
