Sometimes with stubborn decals, I poke a few holes in them with the tip of a brand new exacto blade and re-apply the softening solution. I will re-apply two or three times if necessary and it will most often help with the 'silvering'.

You got the star and bar emblems upside down, but it still looks cool.

Not sure what to say on the areas that gave you decal trouble, other than it may be the age of the decals showing as well.

dude that thing is loaded to the teeth with bombs, it looks sweet! i think the WWII pilot ads a comical look to the model, not everything has to be perfect!
 
Ace: I could have used a different pilot for the kit. I had others, but when I saw him, I just had to put him in there. ;D

I really enjoyed this build. Now if all of the rest of them are like this one, life will be happy!
