I'm using my .350 cheater glasses from the dollar store.I would need a 20x magnifier for that.
Looks great. All those tiny bits!!This is where I am with the build. Cockpit is nearly finished I just need to do the left throttle control and bracing of the canvas.

Yes indeed, brother. Lots of tiny parts.Looks great. All those tiny bits!!
Now that's just scary small. PanthermanFair warning to us who need magnifying glasses...
I put PE parts on my cutting glass next to the tip of a cotton bud for scale.
This is one of a very few I have had to bend and attach. I saw no real need for this part as it would not impede the asthetics of the cockpit so I left it out.

I think grey/black.So I have done some priming and got a bit more assembled. Not sure if I should just go with the grey/black and then a gloss or go very black with a gloss. What do you think?

Correct, strings for wire. Devil to glue on the struts though. PanthermanI think grey/black.
What is the thread for, is it for the wire stays on the wings?
Like the red. Pantherman.I got some done (up until late or early 5:00 am )
I started with Vallejo Light Gray, 71.298, as my primer and also to simulate the canvas.
I tried a different brand of paint for the red,
I went to a local hobby shop which is owned and operated by an Army Vet. I love supporting small businesses and especially armed service vets.
His does not carry Vallejo products. I chose a Citadel brand and Inktensity.
I used the Inktensity for the red.
It covers really well and also seems to have a type of "plastic" coating as well. This brand will not chip or come off masking with tape.
For the masking of the cockpit, I used Silly Putty.
Fir the white areas I think I'll use Vallejo White Grey 71.119. I do not want it stark white. I want it to look as natural as possible.
Anyway this is where I'm at...

I be they are tough. Are you.using sup÷r glue?Correct, strings for wire. Devil to glue on the struts though. Pantherman
Riging thread and super glue. PanthermanI be they are tough. Are you.using sup÷r glue?
I might use some rigging thread or stretch sprue
I think mine will work. It's from my 1:96 USS Constitution, which I might never finish. I believe it could be too much of a tedious task.Riging thread and super glue. Pantherman
Never say Never, anything is achievable with time and patience. PanthermanI think mine will work. It's from my 1:96 USS Constitution, which I might never finish. I believe it could be too much of a tedious task.
My mother-in-law was a nurse for many years and I inherited her craft desk. I found a spool of black silk suture line that I use instead of thread.Correct, strings for wire. Devil to glue on the struts though. Pantherman
That is coming along nicely. Looks greatI have made progress, slow but progress.
I'm liking the tri-colors for this tri-wing.
All of the wings will be black except the top, it will have a white boxes painted for the crosses.

This is getting complicated building 2 different makes of the same model but anyway, a bit more progress on the Revell one for now. PanthermanSo I have done some priming and got a bit more assembled. Not sure if I should just go with the grey/black and then a gloss or go very black with a gloss. What do you think?
