Am I late to the party?
I just opened the box on my next build- The 1958 Plymouth Fury, Christine.
I just completed washing the sprue/parts and am letting them dry.
Ironically, the dash had the same issue wjbrandel did (with the accelerator pedal mount being bent off to the right), I was able to straighten it out a bit with some warm water. I'm not sure I'll keep them and may cut the plastic, replacing it with aluminum rod and photo etch, vs. just gluing the photo etch over the plastic pedal, not sure-

I invested in an aftermarket upgrade for the 350 Golden Commando motor, and wow- it does not disappoint!
The details on this resin print are remarkable, the pistons have their vavle indents, the heads have valves in them and the carbs have jets.
Wow- 12 bucks well spent. I just finished rinsing that with an IPA wash, ensuring all of the uncured resin was gone.

I'll get to actually building in a day or two.

I'm always working on more than one thing, never diagnosed with ADD/ADHD before but it feels that way sometimes.

Here's a subject nearing completion that is right in my wheelhouse.

...and another subject completely outside of my wheelhouse. An Elf-Archer-Princess-Rat with feather/leaf cape, or whatever you think it is.

I know that feeling. Both my kids (one now 15 and the other 22) have Autism, and as they get older I'm recognising more and more of their traits in myself.

Loving the Yak and the Rat Princess!

Have fun with that!
Base primer is down, see below. I've run into technical issues with reprinting the bow. As a total noob I kinda accept these problems.

Next step is to do a vertical highlighting (pre-shade) later, prior to color. I can proceed with that, but there's a bigger questions/decision about what colors to use. I cannot find any painted versions of "Aelle" online, just the raw prints. So I need to think more.

I figure the cloak is made of leaves with a liner and stitches. I can envision a series of green/yellow/brown on the exterior. With a tan/brown liner and yellow/tan stitching. I feel pretty settled on that.

But there remains decisions on the face (rat), the bare-skin/short-fur of arms and legs, the hair, the tail.

I think on the tail it should be a brownish color near the base turning grey towards the middle and tip. It is a rat right?

But there's the hands and feet, which look a little bit reptilian. Pinkish for rats, but greenish for lizards, claws can be gray/black for either.

The outfit is even harder to envision; I have a torso (the ****s are thankfully covered) and a lower half or skirt of sorts. Plus leggings and greaves. Part of me wants some metallics in the latter to suggest armor, a gold/silver combo maybe?

The outfit could be green/yellow, I think that would look cool. But I'm worried about getting to tied too a color pallete. Should I not introduce a contrasting red/blue/purple theme for interest, or stick with natures color for camouflage since it is an archer? There's no "correct" answer.

Sorry for the detour, but these decisions are part of the fun. Any ideas?

I want to hold it together loosely for the highlighting, use white-glue. But it is not holding well at this point. I do think it is okay for this purpose.

If the hands are anything like the feet and with that tail you may want to start looking at gargoyle pictures for your colors. ;)
