SPUD ,

Great Haul of Pigments !! Those Seats Rock ! One thing .... can you ding up th Rubber Floor mats ? I know from having 2 Bugs that , those were th 1st. to go. They easily Dry Rot. I"m not sure how easy it would be as it looks like it's part of th molding ??

Keep on gettin it !!

ya i had taught that but alas it molded to teh floor and to remove it would be a right pain so i just gave it a moldy slimy wash, thinking back now i prod could have covered it with styrene but that wouldnt be as interesting as what is there now.

and thanks Erik glad you like it,

Nice little haul Spud ;D To be honest I wouldnt worry too much about the rubber mats ,once the body is on and all that moss and green stuff over the windows you wont see them ....unless you're leaving doors open ?? ,in that case make a few old mats :)

Chris.

ya im gona leave the side doors open with one after falling off from rusting away in the forrest, so we will see some insides

well got the body preped today, im going to fit the glass and mask it on both sides tomorrow and start painting it ill do 1 section at a time i think, dont want to over do it,i also need to figure out how im gona go about fitting head liner to the cab roof because i want it saging. ill figure somthing out...

any how here is a test fit to see what it will kinda look like. :) you can still just make out were the vw sign sinks in but ill cover that.

Bad A$$ Spud!!! Making me want to go and paint something just to chip it!!!! Sweet!! ;)

Yip ...That is looking like a pile o scrap ;D good work Spud ;)

Chris.

Thanks guys I had fun doing that side although the other side won't be seen so it won't get the same treatment

Sweet ride Spud, this is going to be awesome!

To do the headlining hanging down you could just use paper kitchen towel, I have tried it before on a rusty wreck and it worked well.
Soak towel in white glue but don't add much, if any, water so it will dry stiff and roll it out to get rid of the paper pattern. Also add a bit of acrylic paint to the mix, which gives a good base for washes / drybrushing later.
Whilst still wet glue the edges to the bus ceiling in more neat white glue and once dry it should look pretty good.

Cheers

Leighbo

Leighbo thanks for that, I did think of it but i wanst 100% sure how it would do but its worth a shot.
