Vallejo Air Brands

With what I've found with the differences between Game Air & Air is, Game Air seems to be more vibrant and bright. Probably best suited for... well, game pieces. :p

Ah but they do not do just run of the line paints.

Some varnishes are superb. Mud superb (thick & splash). Washes great for both hand & airbrush.

Chipping medium very good. Plus Metal Colour really superb for airbrushing.

Above just a sample
Yes sir, Mr. Laurie.
Since I've been back in this hobby, for a year and a month. I mainly use Vallejo brand with a couple of other brands brands for a few various techniques. But my rack are mainly Vallejo.
Of course I still have about 40 or so of the true blue Testors enamel paint bottles.

Another little gem.

Not sure if they have it on their site still.

But Vallejo Model Air was tested by the USA Gov testing lab.

Every Vallejo Model Air colour had a certificate stating that the paints were non toxic.
You could view each certificate.

Similarly, near, with Model range. But some, yellows from memory, were toxic.

That's fascinating, sir. I did not know that, thank you.

Which brand(s) do you prefer?
I have a long list of paint brands in my stash…

Testors Model Master acrylics and enamels - once they’re gone, that’s it.

Testors enamels in small square bottles

Mission Models acrylics - fantastic straight out of the bottle. Sprays really nice. Primer coat is a must!

Gunze/Mr. Color acrylics

Humbrol enamels

Tamiya acrylics and lacquer

AK Interactive Real Color

Pollyscale acrylics - great paint line but sadly, they’re no longer around. Once they’re gone, that’s it

A couple oddball Pactra colors

Aeromaster acrylics

A small handful of Vallejo Model Color - rarely used them nowadays.

Wow! That's is quite an eclectic collection.
I still have about 40 or so Testor bottles and a few of the Model Master jars too.
I have one bottle/jar of Mr. Color, which I rarely use.
I've hear of most of the brands you listed except Pactra and Aeromaster.

I might try some other paint brands. There is a tiny gaming store that carries a brand of paint that I forgot the line he carries, I think they might be Gunze and possibly others, but I did not see vallejo at that time.
He's a small business and former military. I'll give those a try.

Thanks for your reply. I might ask you some questions about some of your brands later, if that's OK.
