Tiger I interior

Im building a Tiger I and am having problems getting the interior primed. I think my first problem I think is that I glued just about every interior piece in before I painted everything. So my current problem is with the primer. I mix the Vallejo grey primer with water and it just "dewed" up on the surface. The blacked worked fine on the exterior so what am I doing wrong ?

No need to thin it, and I would use black primer on the interior, what you can't paint will be like a shadow
