Nice! I am currently in the middle of building my first ever plane. A P51. I was not ready for how much I would enjoy it. So I joined another GB for next year to build a more modern plane, hence the F/A-18. Im pretty excited.

The KV-85 and German accessories kit were both found at a huge flea market that I spent 2 hours perusing around hoping to find model stuff
If I may give some tips … Don't start on the Valentine or KV-85 yet. Both AFV Club and Bronco kits have tons of small parts that will require a good deal of skill to assemble correctly. As for the SKIF (СКІФ) kit, if you enjoyed building your T-60 then you'll probably also enjoy this one, it's roughly the same quality ;)

The supplies are never as fun to buy as kits haha!

But they're essential :D
Ive got to be honest, on this occasion it surprisingly has. I have only recently discovered lacquer paints; and having practised with the Real Colours Luftwafffe set you see here agree with all the comments I've read since returning to the hobby after nearly 40 years. They are so much easier to handle—it's almost a cheat code!! I was up till nearly 3 am this morning using one of the 10 new primers I have bought in the last fortnight (a couple have yet to arrive). However, it is an acrylic, the brand new Gaahleri Kaliedo Glossy black Primer. But OMG, how well does it spray!! (I recommend it to anyone) I had been up spraying some spoons so I can now try out all my new metallic paints. I am particularly excited to try the A Stand paints. Having already successfully tried both one of the Mr Hobby Super Metallic 2 and one of AK Xtreme Metal I may well change the order of my next planned build to a P51D instead of an Eduard 1/32 Bf109 followed by the 1/32 Das Werk Messerschmitt P 1.011. Happy Days

Do my eyes deceive me? A North Africa scheme!
Among several yes!

I am kinda leaning towards it, but think the overall tan gives me fewer painting and variation of paint options. The again, the other options from 1941 to 1944 really do look the same.

Plenty of time to decide, and I reserve the right to change my mind multiple times. (yes that is an affliction)

Considering my display case cannot hold a twin engine bomber in 1/48 (Mitchell and JU-88 as examples) I was thinking of building this "in-flight", but if you check the link I shared, there are full engines and an interior...so dunno what I'll do yet.
