I would like to expand this thread and ask how many kits do members have in their stash
Too many. But most of them I do intend to build at some point …

would you ever consider adding a kit that had been started already by another modeler?
Sure, why wouldn't I? Not that it happens a lot, but I have, and would again — depending on how much of it has been built and to what standard, really. If somebody's made a right mess of it, I'd pass. But a kit in which some parts have been glued together reasonably well, I'll build. And take apart as needed :) Just last year I built an M2 halftrack that somebody had started on (but only a little), corrected and painted an M4 Sherman that someone gave me built but unpainted, and bought a Churchill Mk. VI built but unpainted (as the seller asked all of five euros for it, plus postage), that I then also took the turret apart from to correct it before painting it.

These came in yesterday, more expensive than I expected for a "mask set", but they are not the typical mask set.

I'll be putting my broken Zoukei-Mura Bf109 back on the front burner soon, waiting on some new lacquer paints since using Acrylics is not recommended on the smallest of the stencils.

I currently have approximately 700 kits…. all 1/32 and 1/48 aircraft… More than I will ever build…. Yes , I have a few kits that were previously started. I was very picky when getting these, and did so because they were hard to find kits.

Now look up the Kure Maritime Museum :)
It always seemed odd to me that the very same Navy who understood the inherent obsolescence of the large "main" battleship better than any other in the world at the time, built the most obscene version of one in the entire world.

Probably different factions within the Navy. I mean, it's highly likely that when they weren't fighting their mortal enemy, the Army, they were probably picking fights between departments.

My son and I attended the IPMS regional competition ("Modelpalooza") in Kissimmee, Florida this weekend. A couple of nice discoveries at the show, and a winning raffle ticket, caused me to reorganize my stash, getting it all in one location instead of being spread around the house in various closets. $20 in raffle tickets netted the Revell Canadair CL-13 Sabre Mk.6 in 1/48. Also won a Viking 32L Trident Motorcycle Tail Bag… the most puzzling and irrelevant raffle prize at the show… presently listed on eBay, lol Before the show ended, we picked up an MPC kit of Space:1999 Hawk Mk IX for $20.

I've kind of wanted that Goalkeeper kit ever since I first saw it :) Then added some paint (one I needed anyway, one for the Goalkeeper) and also clear resin (the tin at lower left) for the quayside that's been on hold for want of a good way to make the water's surface. I've never used casting resin before, so I will definitely be doing a little test first. The thing at bottom right is a tool I didn't know existed, but it looks like it might be useful for some of the work I often end up doing on models.

Now THAT'S a good lookin' stash James.
Joe! You sneaky dog.. Whattya doin in here? Classin the place up as usual?
What are those tanks doing in there? HA!
And is that a NuNu BMW M3 I see? I have the NuNu Audi R8 GT3 in my stash.
The tanks are so I can participate in some kind of armor GB in the future if one pops up. I've never built a tank before. Yes, thats a BMW E30 from late 80's Group A. Its always been my favorite BMW car and livery.
Obviously a keen armour builder...... Pantherman
Not yet! But at some point, I can call myself one lol
