I've been working on this behind the scenes.
Its a quick build as there isn't much to it. So, I've been using it a a test kit by gaining experience on wheels and mud/dust on the hull and wheels.

These pics are my attempts at using pigment powder for mud, dirt, and dust behind the wheels.
I used AK Worn Effects chipping fluid to achieve some chipping to reveal the red brown primer.
I sponged the primer on the wheels for worn and used effect.
I tried a different technique on the exhaust I saw on YouTube, which I dont like so I'll be using my own way for the next one.

I think it's good to experiment on builds. When I started I tried to use one new skill or technique on each build. I should probably do that again!

I've never felt I "ruined" a build. I experimented with the Polish tank I built and it did not come out as well as what I had pictured in my mind but it was fun to try. I've got a Corsair diorama I'm planing on doing with a "ruined" model - taking weathering to an extreme for myself but I guess that's the point, it's only ruined when you give up on it.

Agreed — "ruining" a model to me would be something like spilling the contents of a glue bottle all over it, damaging it so far that little or nothing is salvageable. Anything short of this kind of thing can be fixed, if you want to.

When did you start this one @GaryG64 ? I can guarantee you that you're probably 10 times quicker than I would've been to reach this stage of this build. Weathering effects are rockin' here.

One tip...the "rims" of the inner wheels should not have black, they were worn silver from the guides on the tracks rubbing them.

Well, I believe I'm going to call this one done.
I've kinda lost my model building mojo.
I know this build could be way better than this. Plus I've had a strong adult beverage.
But, here it is, brothers.

...nothing a coupl'a 'mojo-jito' s couldn't fix!
I quite like it... I'm still a wuss when it comes to weathering.
I especially like the finish around the rear end and the paintwork on the tools.

They're glued on. I'll see what I can do to fix it

Looks like you may have misunderstood what @Edbert was saying The outer road wheels would have the tyres in rubber colour (sometimes oversprayed with base colour at factory but this quickly wore off) however the inner wheels rubbed, giving the rims the bright metal appearance.
