Mutara Class Starship-New Contest Build

The build is looking good Q. Swoopy :). I think it's my favorite of you latest Trek custom builds.

Thanks, guys.
@SLW45,
Mutara's just at 19 1/2" or 49.5 cm

And now, for tonight's update:
Biggest work done today is the sloped areas from the original impulse deck.
These have been sculpted etirely from Aves, and shaped with a combination of my wet fingers and my razor saw.

Main assembly is now complete as I cemented the strut assembly to the secondary hull.

Q very nice work so far. I like the new look it is very sleek!! I see what you mean about the struts based on the size of the warp engines but they work much better than the originals. The angle of the struts makes it look fast. Based on the size is it 1/1000 or 1/1400 scale? So wish the powers that be would have some consistency in trek models.

Great looking ship, Q!
Love how the new hulls connection and nacells pylons look. Also enjoy the coverage of the ex-primary impulse engines. Didn't You consider placing the decals of two shuttle bay doors on them with big star trek fonted numbers like the two on the back of the Reliant? Think it might be a logical dislocation for shuttle bays according to the Federation's constructioning style.

Thanks, guys. Glad you're liking her.
@noc5659, she's 1/1000 scale (at least according to what people have figured on the "B" kit)

@Solander,
I definitely prefer the new lines myself.
Figuring I'll keep the shuttlebays on her where they are, though.

Thanks, guys. She should get primer and some paint this weekend.
Still have to decide on aztecs

Paint looks great. you can definately see the shadow effect. Did you decide to aztec it?

Looking great Q!!! Thought I smelled some paint coming from your cage!! ;D Keep it coming buddy!!! 8)

You are the "Beast of Styrene"!!!!

You must surely have ran into some "Morlocks". That is the only way I can explain how you find the time.

I love the attention to detail in your builds.

Looking forward to the decals.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
Still debating on the aztecs, but leaning toward doing them.
