Get off that fence! If you can find one and dont mind messin with resin then you wont be dissapointed.

I love the subject! That thing has to be heavy. Wear a a mask when using those power tools, that resin dust is TOXIC.

So update time, not much of one but here's the proof:

Escape pods are on the bottom (I love how ILM made some missing).

Added side and bottom 'fins' and still a little more sandin to do then primer! ;D

You're really prepping this well. The rod's added strenght will pay off on the long run I'm sure. That Vallejo plastic putty seems to be working great.
I wasn't sure if I was going to enter the contest; the only available kit I have is an MPC ERTL Slave 1... horrible fit, ugliest engines of all time and lots of innacuracies, but you know what, seeing your work (and its potential) really got me inspired. So Slave 1 it will be!

Thanks chaps. Another small update, thought there would be more time for modeling over easter but there seems to be parties, friends, family and having fun to deal with rather than sitting in a room on your own fiddiling with plastic lol
Got the rest of the 'fins' on the middle of the ship, and had to do some filling and sanding to get them right, still not 100% but whos going to know? it's not like this is for a contest or anything!:


And overall shot, if this gets any longer it wont be able to fit in my photo booth :-\ ;D

I've been going through the contest thread in my spare 5 mins on my phone and there's some cracking stuff happening. I may not have time to reply to everyones builds but I am looking
