Jet exhaust paint effect

please forgive me if I have missed the thread on this. I am looking for a realistic metallic painting effect to simulate the heat tempered jet exhaust on my General Dynamics F16A model

Alclad has numerous colors to help you with that task, including colors such as Exhaust Manifold, Burnt Metal, etc, etc., although I don't know readily available they are in New Zealand.

Mr. Color and the new Mr. Metal Color would work really well and should be easy to obtain from Asia. Mr. Color is the standard lacquer line and Mr. Metal Color is the new, airbrush ready, metallic line probably similar to Alclad.

This pigment set from Tamiya would help too. It's just pigment you rub onto the paint to slightly change the shade of it.
