Hi All,

Question for the collective - what colours would you use to drybrush highlights over a 'sand' painted area? I have this Ferret in two tone camouflage, and whilst I can highlight the green with lighter greens (and a bit of yellow) I'm less certain about with to do with the sand colour.

Cheers!

Put a dot of sand and a dot of white next to each other on your palette, mix them with the brush you use for drybrushing, wipe it off and away you go! :)

I use one of my son's old Lego flats for drybrushing. It not only takes paint off of the brush really well, but you can test the drybrush effect better than if you dry with a towel. I just paint part of the Lego whatever color I'm to go over and set my brush accordingly.

Lacking Lego, you can always glue some old kit and sprue parts to a board to get the same benefit.
