DIY Pigment Fixer

Hi All,
There's always stock problems in my country so i can't always reach ak/mig or other brands's pigment fixers. So that i researched how can i make my ow fixer. I saw that someone mix matte acrylic medium with IPA and water. Do you have another recipes for pigment fixer? By the way i will use it on lacquer varnish.

I have used just PVA and water 50/50 mix. It held the pigments nicely. I have also brushed on vallejo decal fix, added pigments then dropped on more decal fix to set it.

Not especially, more like a satin finish but when the build was complete I sprayed the whole thing with matt varnish to seal it.
