The bloody seam is still visible down the center..... not sure if I will fill and prime again or keep going...

Thanks for looking

eh up buddy, lookin sweet mym8,i`d filler it cos now ya know it`s there it`ll get on ya nerves everytime ya look at it! ;D.....cheers peza

Thanks peza, took your advice and filled with some more putty and reprimed.

Waiting on some paints I ordered, hopefully get some colour on this next weekend, I plan on painting the red stripes rather than the decals.

Stay tuned :)

Once you make the worst of it disappear, the stripe down the fuselage can cover the rest of it

Those seams down the center are always a pain....

I had the same problem with Slave 1, so what I did was glue a strip of plasticard along the seam on the inside, this just made a more solid join

Small update, preshade and colour.

Pretty happy how it came out, much better option than the decals. Clear coat and weathering to come.

Thanks for looking :)

Nice job. I used the decals when I built this kit, and it was definitely a mistake. Your paint job looks much better than the decals do.

Good luck with the bird decals, though. They're translucent, not backed by white.

That said, this looks really sharp

Nearly done with this, decals, detail painting and panel wash.

Not sure if I should weather it some more, comments and suggestions welcome :)

Great work so far . As for the weathering question , the simple answer is it's a matter of taste ! I don't think you can over-do it , as when I did my Viper I initially thought I'd done TOO much , but was very surprised when I referred back to the show as to HOW much weathering the Vipers had . Basically , the earlier in the shows run , the less the weathering/damage . The real question is whether or not you're brave enough to dirty up your lovely clean Viper . ;)

Thanks for the comments Gents. I think it still needs a little something...

I'd definitely weather it, but go easy at first.
See how you like it then. If you want, add some. Just remember that it's easier to add than to take away.

She's definitely looking good.
My Starbuck bird is pristine, but that was the point of that build. It was her "Return" bird.
