an just paint sprayed them now they are glued in place so cant do any more building till the smell of the paint has gone out of the windows as i had goggles an a marsk on but could still smell that paint so i gotta scram quick out of my model room will go back when the air is clear

AN OH BALLS IM GETTIN head of my self again ive forgotten to fit in the hanger bay lights so back onto the underside of the flightdeck to fit them BUT hang on i wont know where to fit them til ive fitted the hanger bay sides with the opening hanger doors so this will have to be left till i get the hull sides on AHHHHHGGGGGGGGGG THIS IS A LITTLE FRUSTATING

Persevere my brother!

Sometimes (for me) that means putting it down or away for a while, but never give up.

HI Edbert NO
im not goin to give up on this model as it was exspensive but its a bit frustratin as this is the first I LOVE KIT ive had an they have made it like that as a lot of the same parts are all on different sprues so its a constant hunt for the parts an it takes up a bit of time which could be modelin time but upward an onwards will have to study the desruckions tomorrow to find out what the next steps are an yes us modelers are all brothers
ATB SIR

HELLO ALL well im still workin on the hornet an here some more pics of the box seckions for want of a better word on the hanger deck an i will soon have to start building the avenger an co planes before i fit on the flightdeck an now some pics

HI ALL well im tryin to build this carrier but i dont know if its just i love kits or if Kevin has the same trouble on his iowa kit but the makers have made the parts so tediuos to find as if just makin up a small part for the small motor boat the parts are all on different spruces so i spend my time lookin for parts rather than buildin an it is rather time consumein an annoyin to me anyway its built now an some pics an its so fragile i was frightened to breath on the mountinds as they were so frigile an i take my hat off to those of you who build in 1/700 or smaller wow

when i see the capstans and the wildcats painted red and green i think of private pyle getting slapped in the face when he gets right and left mixed up! i guess they had to make sure the deck apes didnt drop the wrong hook ! ;)

HI Holz44 SORRY had a lot of probs since sept an mojo has gone AWOL but feeling better now but i will restart the hornet build in january OK
chrisb
Thanks for the update and I hope you're "on the mend". Aged Artisans don't recover quickly. Also hope your MOJO comes back, you do such fine work.
I'm always interested in WW II historical models that depict actual events and your project certainly fills the bill. Looking forward to seeing you back in the shipyard.
